ABOUT

Amanda Lilleston is a Maine-based printmaker and interdisciplinary artist whose work explores the interconnected relationships between anatomy, ecology, and the living world. Working across woodcut, screenprint, lithography, and paper collage, she transforms printed fragments into intricate, large-scale compositions that investigate growth, adaptation, and the dynamic systems that shape biological and ecological life.

Drawing from scientific observation as well as the material language of printmaking, Lilleston builds each work through an iterative process of printing, cutting, and reassembling. Individual impressions become modular elements that are layered into expansive paper constructions, blurring the boundaries between print, collage, sculpture, and installation.

Lilleston's work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in museums, galleries, and print biennials, including the Taiwan International Print Biennial, the 4th International Triennial of Graphic Arts in Livno, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the DI CARTA / PAPERMADE International Biennale in Italy. Her work is held in museum, university, and private collections.

She is Assistant Professor of Art at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where she teaches printmaking.
